A SENSE OF PLACE

A SENSE OF PLACE CURATED BY AMY WORTH

VISIT THE GALLERY

The North Fork Art Collective has come alive in the historic Fiedler Gallery located at 207 Main Street in Greenport, NY. The opening reception turned celebration of life for our beloved friend, artist, & mentor Amy Worth. Her passing was sudden and only a week before the show she curated, A Sense of Place, opened in the Gallery. With the families permission we hung the show she curated and honored her vision & work throughout the month of September into October.

REMEMBERING OUR DEAR FRIEND & BELOVED ARTIST, AMY WORTH

Amy will long be remembered for her warmth and devotion to family, friends and the community, as well as for her goodness, talent, humor, cooking and inimitable style. She could see colors mere mortals couldn’t and, throughout her life, reflected them back in her work, her clothes and her personality. She was our rainbow and will be profoundly missed.

A celebration in honor of Amy’s life will be held in April on Long Island. Donations may be made for an arts scholarship in Amy Worth’s name at Huntington High School. Memorial and donation information can be found below.

MEET THE CURATOR & OWNER, Kara Hoblin

Artist, Kara Hoblin is most known for her chalk drawings but works in various mediums. A sense of childlike wonder is apparent through the whimsical narratives of her work. Inspired and drawn to the natural environment. Working collectively to share, connect, and inspire others through creation and exploration of our natural light and darkness. “Through the work I create, I am a vessel or conduit for helping to protect, heal, spread compassion and love in our society and environment. ” - K
